In May the Martifer Group was present in three important European renewable energy trade events to introduce Martifer Solar. From May 15 to 17 it participated in SolarExpo, in Verona, Italy, from 20 to 24 in Tektónica, the Lisbon international fair, and from 23 to 26 in Ecotec, in Athens. Martifer Solar took advantage of these three exhibitions to present its products, contact clients and establish connections with investors.
In Tektónica, in the Portuguese capital, Martifer Solar was present with Home Energy, a company in the group that specialises in marketing solar micro-production facilities for domestic clients. The Espírito Santo Bank, an institution with which an agreement has been reached for the microgeneration campaign, was present on the stand to inform of the financial advantages that it is offering for the implementation of this technology for the home. In the Verona event, Martifer Solar welcomed both public and private investors to its stand and informed them of its position in the Italian market.
The experience built up by the company in Spain was warmly approved, where, by year-end, it will have connected more than 35 MW to the grid and where it has already erected emblematic works such as the highest solar installation in the world, located in the Madrid Crystal Tower at 250 metres above ground level. In the fair more than 130 professionals left their contact address for further discussions with Martifer Solar. As for the Athens event, the Country Manager of Martifer Solar in Greece, Paulo Figueiredo, expressed his contentment with the results obtained, and pointed out that “our presence in EcoTec, attended by all the major companies, gives us vital positioning in the marketplace to be well located in the competition for the growing Greek market”.
The Martifer Solar stand, praised for its design and facilities in all the events which the company has attended, was particularly well received in Athens where important architecture firms expressed interest in its creativity. Martifer Solar offers innovative solutions and services regarding energy efficiency in buildings and in solar photovoltaic systems, with solutions employing both stationary and tracking technology. With a bottom-up managerial approach, Martifer Solar is present in all business phases, from the production of modules through to financial counselling for projects, adapting to market and client requirements.
The production of high-performance Martifer modules begins next October, in its factory located in Oliveira de Frades, Portugal. Initially the factory production capacity will be 50MW, expanding to 100MW by the end of 2010. The solar photovoltaic module production unit will essentially allow Martifer Solar to increase its industrial capacity for export. Today Martifer Solar is already present in 7 countries - Portugal, Spain, Italy, Belgium, United States, Angola and Greece - and negotiating its entry into other European markets where it aims to be one of the leading companies delivering equipment for energy production based on renewable sources.
