Martifer Solar implements two pv solar plants for Enfinity.
Both plants, located in the province of Albacete, with a total of 3.6 MWp will save the emission into the atmosphere of over 7,000 T of CO2.
Martifer Solar, along with the Belgian company Enfinity, opens the pv solar photovoltaic plans of Villarrobledo and Peñas de San Pedro. The plants, located in the province of Albacete, southeast Spain, are on ground installations on fixed structures. They got total of 3.6 MWp of power, enough energy to supply over 2,000 households of four members per year, and they will save the emission into the atmosphere of over 7,000 T of CO2, the main agent causing the greenhouse effect.
The Belgian company Enfinity, a company with which Martifer has opened several projects in the world, including the deployment of more than 20 MW of installations on roof in Belgium. Enfinity is a company specializing in projects for solar plant, is present in 11 countries nowadays and has a pipeline of over 120 MW by the end of 2010. It certainly is a great ally for Martifer Solar. The two newly-inaugurated plants represents a milestone for the growing weight of Martifer Solar in the Spanish photovoltaic market . The plant of Villarrobledo has a capacity of 2.2 MWp and occupies an area of 5.4 hectares. The plant of Peñas de San Pedro occupies 3.6 hectares and has an output of 1.4 MWp.
The inauguration was attended by top politicians of both municipalities, the mayor of Villarrobledo and president of the Provincial Council of Albacete, Pedro Antonio Ruiz thanked "the bet of Martifer Solar and Enfinity by Villarrobledo with this new plant because our town has become one of the Spanish town with more solar PV installed.” On the part of Enfinity the responsible for inaugurating the plant was Gino Van Neer, its director general and for Martifer Solar Gustavo Fernandes, a member of the Board, who emphasized "the important role that is developing Martifer Solar in Spain to become one of the major players within the photovoltaic solar energy”.
The opening ceremony was followed by several media of the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha and nationals, which speaks of the convening power of tandem Martifer Solar-Enfinity. The town of Villarrobledo, with the two plants implemented by Martifer Solar, is one of the Spanish cities with more solar photovoltaic installed, with over 50 MWp, nowadays it has a surplus production.
