Martifer Solar described its first intervention in an energy fair in Italy as successful. The event, which was held in Verona, the Solar Expo Fair, served as a shop window to demonstrate the company’s potential to become one of the European leaders in photovoltaic solar energy. More than 130 professionals, among whom were important investors and business developers, were in contact with the Martifer staff attending the stand, one of the most visited in the entire event.
Martifer Solar in Italy was able to explain its objectives to its potential direct clients, one of which is to enter the Italian market with the drive and experience achieved from participating in the implementation of more than 35 MW of photovoltaic solar energy in Spain. This know-how, greatly valued by people interested in Martifer, means the company is capable of tackling highly profitable medium and large scale projects in Italy.
The investors were also very interested in the all-round service coverage that the company can offer, which begins with its own production of modules in its factory located in Oliveira de Frades, in north Portugal. This factory has a production capacity of 50 MW enlargeable to 100 MW. The production of high-performance Martifer modules will begin at the end of 2008. First off the line will be the company’s first solar tracker, with the latest technology and innovative in solar use. This is a dual-axis single-post tracker with a production capacity of 25 kW.
All this could be viewed on its stand, one of the most appreciated by the visitors to the event for its novel structure and facilities. The Martifer Marketing and Communication team designed its new stand seeking an architecturally modern and different appearance that was also functional at the same time. Pedro Gomes, Managing Director of Martifer Solar Italy, reporting on the participation in this event, stated "we have been studying and developing the Italian Market since early 2007, but we began to operate directly one year later. Naturally, during this period we have established a business portfolio that we are now starting up. In any case, this event has signified an important milestone for us, because it has been the official presentation of our company to the Italian public and has made it possible not only to achieve more contacts with potential clients but also to strengthen previously established contacts”.
It is clear that Martifer Solar has achieved the poll position in the Italian solar market after participating in SolarExpo 2008. In May Martifer Solar was also present in the international fairs of Athens, SolarTec, and Lisbon, Tektónica, where it has always been welcomed by the professionals of the sector and the public in general for its varied offer of photovoltaic solar energy solutions and for its appropriately designed stands.
