Martifer Solar has ensured the supply of solar cells for its production of photovoltaic modules. It has come to an agreement with the Taiwanese company Gintech for a total of 100 MW of polycrystalline cells. supply will begin in January 2009. Gintech is a leader in its sector for the quality of their products, manufactures poly and mono-crystalline cells and is known for the efficiency of distribution.
Martifer Solar will use this provision to ensure the continued manufacture of solar photovoltaic modules that will be produced from next october at its factory in Oliveira de Frades, North Portugal. Martifer Solar enters the select group of producers of solar photovoltaic panels with its factory, fully automated and with an innovative technology. Robotized by the german company KUKA, has the most stringent quality controls, temperature and humidity, to develop solar photovoltaic panels of the highest quality.
The factory will have an initial production of 50 MW expandable to 100 in its second year of operation. The agreement with Gintech is the fruit of Martifer Solar negotiation skills and adapting. The company has successfully ensured its production capacity of solar modules which will undoubtedly result in reliability and safety to the customer. Securing its production capacity also assure its availability of modules for plants to develop.
